Pair Rorstrand Majolica floral vases

Victorian, circa 1880. Tallest is 11.4ins high, 11.4ins wide, 5.9ins depth. Pair of Rorstrand Majolica vases which feature applied flowers, leaves and stems.





Colouration: cream, turquoise, brown, are predominant.

Condition

CONDITION: Vase 1: Good. No restoration. Flake to footrim.



Small flake to three of the flowers.







KILN EFFECTS: craze lines;





glaze run to the grey, green and brown glazes.









Vase 2: Generally good. Two small flakes to the rim,





a few small flakes to the blue flowers.





KILN EFFECT: craze lines.







RESTORATION: Three stabilised and retouched hairlines to the rim.













Join of base and vase reglued and join retouched.





Filled chip to pink flower.



Retouched flakes to lower rim and one flake on one of the blue flowers.
