
Victorian, circa 1856. 9.6ins high, 16.1ins wide, 10.2ins depth. Minton Majolica game pie dish with liner which features a hare, mallard and blackbird on a bed of fern and oak leaves. Colouration: brown, green, cream, are predominant.
Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1856.
Cover: Generally good. RESTORATION: Section on one end, including hare's left foot reglued and joins retouched.
Handle reglued and joins retouched.
Liner: Good. Chip to under rim.
RESTORATION: Filled chip to both handle lips and rim.
Stabilised and retouched crack to rim.
Base: Good. Two bruises to inner rim.
Flakes to the handles, rim and exterior.
RESTORATION: Retouched flake to two feet.
