Delphin Massier Majolica duck & reeds vase

Circa 1890. 5.1ins high, 5.5ins wide, 4.3ins depth. Delphin Massier Majolica spill vase which features a duck drinking from a puddle. Colouration: yellow, green, brown, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Delphin Massier pottery.

 

Condition

CONDITION: Good. No restoration. Some small flakes to reeds and duck's feathers and right leg.

KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze;

over glazed shrinkage line to the left wing.
