Wedgwood Majolica grape & strawberry plate

Victorian, circa 1889. 8.7ins high, 8.7ins wide, 0.8ins depth. Wedgwood Majolica plate which features strawberries, leaves, grapes and blossoms. Brown ground version.

Colouration: brown, ochre, green, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Wedgwood pottery. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1889.

 

Condition

CONDITION: Good. No restoration. Slight wear to interior.

KILN EFFECTS: glaze run to the brown and green glaze.
