Majolica Merman on shell riding a dolphin salt

Victorian, circa 1890. 6.9ins high, 5.5ins wide, 4.9ins depth.

Majolica salt with a mythological theme which features a merman on a clam shell, which sits on a dolphin's back.

Colouration: turquoise, cream, green, are predominant.

CONDITION: Good. No restoration. KILN EFFECTS: glaze run;

uneven glaze application to shell interior;

patch of stray coloured glaze to Merman's leg.
