
Victorian, circa 1870. 4.3ins high, 8.5ins wide, 7.7ins depth. George Jones Majolica sardine box which features fish and seaweed.
Pink ground version. Colouration: lilac, green, grey, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the George Jones pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1831'.
CONDITION: Cover: Very good. No restoration.
KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to the underside.
Dish: Good. No restoration. Small flakes to the rim.
Bruise to the rim.
Stand: Good. No Restoration. Very tight hairline to rim.
Light scratches to interior.
