Victorian, circa 1900. 5.7ins high, 4.3ins wide, 4.3ins depth.

Majolica tobacco jar and cover which features a terrier dog's head.

Colouration: blue, brown, cream, are predominant.

Condition

Cover: Generally good. Tight hairline to rim running up through the right ear.

Chips and flakes to inner rim and rim.

Flakes to head and ears.

KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage lines to the inner rim.

Jar: Generally good. Flaking to rim and both eyes.

Staining from use.

KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing.

RESTORATION. Filled chip to right ear.
