Sarreguemines Majolica Punch jug/pitcher

Victorian, circa 1890. 12.8ins high, 5.5ins wide, 7.5ins depth. Sarreguemines Majolica jug/pitcher which features a seated figure of Mr Punch. Colouration: dark pink, ochre, turquoise, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Sarreguemines pottery. Bears a pattern number, '3431'.

Condition

Good. Couple of tiny flakes to base.

KILN EFFECTS: glaze pops to his shoes;

notable crazing.

RESTORATION: Filled chip to hat brim.
