
Victorian, circa 1870. 6.9ins high, 6.7ins wide, 4.9ins depth. Minton Majolica jug/pitcher which features acorns, oak leaves and a snail on the handle. Unusually, this example has a pouring lip over the spout. Colouration: brown, green, ochre, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1870.
