
Victorian, circa 1874. 4.3ins high, 7.3ins wide, 5.9ins depth. Brownfield Majolica teapot which features an unusual shape. Ivy decoration and a pewter lid. Colouration: cobalt blue, brown, green, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Brownfield pottery. English diamond registration mark for the date 04/06/1874.
CONDITION: Good. Some wear to lid and exterior.
KILN EFFECTS: small firing pit to handle; thin glaze application to brown enamel.
RESTORATION. Filled chip to spout.
