
Victorian, circa 1880. Tallest is 6.1ins high, 2.8ins wide, 4.1ins depth. Pair of Holdcroft Majolica vases which feature a stag's head.
Colouration: light brown, green, turquoise, are predominant.
CONDITION: Vase 1: Good. KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the interior and exterior;
small shrinkage crack to right side of stag's mouth.
RESTORATION. Filled chips to tips of five antlers.
Vase 2: Good. KILN EFFECTS: glaze misses to the lower base edge;
a few specks of kiln grit caught in the glaze to the exterior;
craze lines to the interior.
RESTORATION. Filled chips to tips of seven antlers.
Retouched flakes to ears.
