Holdcroft Majolica cheese keep which features unusual wedge-shaped form, a branch handle and blossom to the sides.
Cobalt blue ground version.
Colouration: cobalt blue, brown, white, are predominant.
Bears a pattern number, '7'.
Cover: Very good. No restoration.
Slight wear to exterior.
KILN EFFECTS: thin glaze application to rim;
slight glaze run to cobalt and green glazes; small glaze miss to handle.
Stand: Good. No restoration.
Flake to glaze accumulation to interior (not visible when cover is in place).
Some flaking around the rim,
and one flake to under rim.
Minor wear to interior, predominantly where cover sits on stand.
KILN EFFECTS: glaze pop to under rim.
