JM Majolica lizard on shell vase

Victorian, circa 1880. 6.7ins high, 7.9ins wide, 4.1ins depth.

Majolica vase which features a flower and leaf encrusted shell, with a lizard on the handle.

Colouration: blue, green, ochre, are predominant.

The piece bears marks which we cannot attribute to a particular source.

Condition

Good. Small flake to twig base rim,

one white flower and lizard's tail.

RESTORATION: Filled chip to rim,

tip of pink bow,

two white flowers and twig base rim.

Retouched flakes to twig base rim.
