Gustafsberg Majolica jug/pitcher which features an open-mouthed fish on a shell and seaweed base.
Colouration: grey, turquoise, brown, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Gustafsberg pottery. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1893.
Very good. No restoration.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage crack to seaweed around fish tail;
tiny firing pit to spout interior;
kiln soot caught in the glaze to the rim.
