Choisy Majolica stick/umbrella stand or vase which features a rooster/cockerel standing next to some wheat.
Colouration: brown, grey, ochre, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Choisy pottery.
Generally good. RESTORATION. Ends of topmost two tail feathers remodelled.
Filled chips to comb.
Stabilised and retouched crack to base.
Stabilised and retouched cracks to back leg.
A stabilised and retouched crack to the front leg.
Stabilised and retouched cracks to rear of the wheatsheaf vase.
Filled chip to wheat ear on side of vase.
Some remodelled protrusions on the top of the vase rim.
