
Victorian, circa 1890. 9.4ins high, 14ins wide, 2.4ins depth. French Palissy Majolica wall plate which features one large and two small fish, a snake, lizard, moths and shells. Colouration: blue, green, cream, are predominant.
Good. No restoration. Glaze chips to foot rim, partly from manufacturing process.
Tiny chips to small fish's tails.
Slight wear to the high points of the molding.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the rim.
