Brownfield Majolica cockatoo jug/pitcher

Victorian, circa 1870. 9.8ins high, 3.9ins wide, 6.7ins depth. Brownfield Majolica jug/pitcher which features features a cockatoo, with branch handle.







White ground version. Colouration: white, ochre, brown, are predominant.





The piece bears maker's marks for the Brownfield pottery. Bears a pattern number, '2100 9/81'.


Condition

CONDITION: Good. KILN EFFECTS: small firing pits to the wings and chest;







flecks of stray white glaze to the branch.





RESTORATION. Small filled chip to underside of spout.
