
Victorian, circa 1863. 2.5ins high, 4.3ins wide, 4.3ins depth. Minton Majolica sweetmeat dish which features a nest supported by oak leaves and acorns. Colouration: turquoise, brown, green, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '462'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1863.
Good. Tight hairline to rim.
KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to the interior;
over glazed chip to one leaf.
