Gustafsberg Majolica grape & strawberry plate

Victorian, circa 1898. 7.1ins high, 7.1ins wide, 0.8ins depth. Gustafsberg Majolica plate which features strawberries, leaves, grapes and blossoms. Colouration: cobalt blue, green, ochre, are predominant.



The piece bears maker's marks for the Gustafsberg pottery. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1898.

Condition

Very good. No restoration. Slight wear to interior.





KILN EFFECTS: stilt marks to the underside;



glaze run to the ochre and blue glaze.
