George Jones Majolica jug/pitcher with bird and ivy

Victorian, circa 1870. 8ins high, 6.1ins wide, 5.1ins depth. George Jones Majolica jug/pitcher which features a bird (a wren) perched on some ivy. Colouration: cobalt blue, green, turquoise, are predominant.

Bears a pattern number, '5201'.

Condition

Generally good. Slight wear to handle.

KILN EFFECT: glaze pops to the exterior.

RESTORATION: Stabilised and retouched crack to rim running down on to underside.
