Colouration: ochre, cream, turquoise, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1514/1515'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1859.
Right facing: Good. KILN EFFECTS: glaze run to the green glaze.
RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched hairline to basket rim.
Left facing: Good. No restoration. Abrasions to his face, hair, neck and right arm.
