
Victorian, circa 1870. Tallest is 11.7ins high, 7.9ins wide, 3.1ins depth. Pair of J.R.L. Majolica wall pockets which feature a bird perched on a branch above a woven nest. Colouration: brown, green, yellow, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the J.R.L. pottery.
Right facing: Generally good. Some flakes to lower branch and one to top branch.
Slight wear to pocket exterior.
RESTORATION: filled chips to outer leaves.
Filled chip to tip of lower branch.
Filled chips to wing tips and to beak.
Left facing: Generally good. Some small flakes to pocket rim, top branch and lower branch.
Some wear to pocket exterior.
KILN EFFECT: small glaze miss to one acorn.
