Sarreguemines Majolica grape & vine platter

Victorian, circa 1880. 9.6ins high, 12.4ins wide, 1.9ins depth. Sarreguemines Majolica platter which features grapes and vines.

Colouration: green, ochre, brown, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Sarreguemines pottery.

CONDITION: Generally good.

Wear to the high points of the molding.

KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing.

RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched cracks to one end of the platter.
