Framed in an old wood frame with gilt slip and glass.
Mounted to conservator standards on acid free card with chipboard backing.
The sampler is worked in silk on canvas ground, in a variety of stitches.
Greek key border.
Colours black, red and green. Entitled 'Multiplication Table'.
Signed and dated 'Elizabeth Nield's work 1816'.
Features a multiplication table to the centre, with surrounding floral border.
CONDITION: Good. No holes. No stains. Some stitch losses to the outer border.
Colours are slightly faded, but still well defined. No colour run.
Stretching is very slightly uneven.
Frame in very good condition, ready to hang.
