Framed in an old wood frame with gilt slip and glass.
Mounted to conservator standards on acid free card with chipboard backing.
The sampler is worked in silk on linen ground, in a variety of stitches. Floral border.
Colours greens, blue, white, black, red, peach and yellow. Signed and dated, 'J. Annah Parker Her Work October the 25 1827'.
A good set of motifs, including a fruit basket,
potted flowering plants,
fir trees,
blossoming trees,
stags,
and birds.
CONDITION: Good. A few holes.
A few patchy stains.
No stitch losses. Colours are all good and strong with no noticeable fading. No colour run. Neatly and evenly stretched. Frame in good condition, ready to hang.
