Mounted over linen with wood and paper backing.
The sampler is worked in a silk-like thread on linen ground, in cross stitch throughout.
Elaborate diamonds border.
Colours red, gold, blues and greens.
Inscription entitled

CONDITION: Generally Good.
A number of holes.
One stain speck.
No stitch losses other than to the holed areas.
One stray piece of thread.
Colours are all good and strong with no noticeable fading.
No colour run.
Stretching is slightly uneven.
Frame showing slight wear, otherwise sound.
