Framed in a modern wood frame with gilt slip and glass. Stitched to linen with chipboard backing.
The sampler is worked in silk on linen ground, in a variety of stitches including Algerian eye.
No border, divider lines in various patterns.
Colours pale blue, cream, light brown, green and red. Alphabets A-Z in upper case.
Verses read,

CONDITION: Generally Good. No holes. Three dark stain specks and one pale patchy stain.
Some stitch losses to the divider lines, verses, signature, motifs and letters.
Colours are all good and strong with no noticeable fading. No colour run. Unevenly stretched.
Frame showing slight wear, otherwise sound.
