Staffordshire swan inkwell

Victorian, circa 1860. 5.5ins high, 4.7ins wide, 3.3ins depth.

Staffordshire inkwell which features a swan, resting on an inkwell base.

Dull gilt embellishment. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

Condition

Good. No restoration. Paint losses to swan's beak and floral decoration.

Some rubbing to gilt.

KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray blue and orange coloured glaze;

areas of staining to the swan and base.
