Staffordshire recumbent lion
Victorian, circa 1860. 3.7ins high, 4.9ins wide, 2.9ins depth. Staffordshire figure which features a lion, recumbent on a rectangular base.
Dull gilt base line. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Vent hole to the underside.
Condition
CONDITION: Good.
Slight wear to muzzle.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage cracks to left hind leg,
right hind paw
and tops of the front legs.
RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched hairline to front of base and one to each side of base.
