Pair Staffordshire Jackfield Cockerels/Roosters
Victorian, circa 1880. Tallest is 11.8ins high, 9.3ins wide, 4.9ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire figures which feature a cockerel/rooster, stood on a shaped base.
Jackfield black version. Bright gilt base line and embellishment.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Vent hole to the reverse.
Condition
CONDITION: Right facing: Good. No restoration.
Flake to the wattle.
Some rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: touch mark to the crest;
glaze miss to the left side of the ground.
Right facing: Good. No restoration.
Two flakes to wattle.
Rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: touch mark to the crest
and tail feathers;
notable crazing.
