Miniature Staffordshire bird nest with eggs
Victorian, circa 1860. 2ins high, 3ins wide, 2.4ins depth.
Staffordshire figure which features a bird perched on it's nest full of eggs, resting directly on the ground, no base.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Condition
Good. No restoration. Small paint loss to bird's left wing.
Minor abrasions and flaking to the nest,
bird's tail and head.
KILN EFFECTS: small shrinkage crack to the interior of the nest;
small firing pit to nest.
