Staffordshire hen on nest tureen
Victorian, circa 1860. 7.2ins high, 8.3ins wide, 6.3ins depth.
Staffordshire egg tureen and cover which features a hen, resting on an oval basketweave tureen base.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

Condition
Hen: Good. Some small flakes to tail feathers.
RESTORATION. Retouched flake to beak and paint losses to wattle and comb.
Nest: Generally good. Staining to the interior and exterior.
RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched crack to the side.
Retouched flake to inner rim.
