Staffordshire spaniels with pup inkwell

Victorian, circa 1860. 5.3ins high, 6.3ins wide, 2.4ins depth. Staffordshire inkwell which features two spaniels with a pup inbetween them, seated on an oblong base.





Black and white version. Dull gilt base line and embellishment.



Flatback, decorated only to the front.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. No restoration. Small flake to nose of each dog.







A few minor paint losses to both large spaniels.











Some rubbing to gilt.







KILN EFFECTS: kiln soot caught in the glaze to reverse of base;



shrinkage line to reverse lower base edge.
