Pair Staffordshire white & gilt spaniels

Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 9.8ins high, 7.1ins wide, 4ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire figures which feature a spaniel, seated directly on the ground, no base.





White and gilt version. Dull gilt collar and locket. Flatback, decorated mainly to the front.





Vent hole to the underside.

Condition

CONDITION: Right facing: Good. Slight rubbing to gilt.



KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to the reverse.



RESTORATION. Retouched paint loss to black eyes, muzzle and paws.







Left facing: Good. Slight rubbing to gilt.



KILN EFFECTS: kiln soot caught in the glaze to the reverse.





RESTORATION. Retouched paint loss to black eyes, muzzle and paws.
