Small Staffordshire hen on nest

Victorian, circa 1860. 4.3ins high, 4.7ins wide, 3.6ins depth. Staffordshire egg tureen and cover which features a hen sitting on her eggs on an oval basket weave tureen, resting on an oval base.



Multi-coloured version. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

CONDITION: Hen: Good.

Tight hairline below her tail feathers.



Small flake to her crest.



RESTORATION: Filled chip to tail feathers.





Nest: Good. No restoration.

Some wear to exterior.
