Large Kent Staffordshire New foundland figure

Victorian, circa 1890. 8.3ins high, 4.1ins wide, 8.3ins depth.

Kent Staffordshire figure which features a Newfoundland, stood on a shaped base.

Bright gilt base line. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

Vent holes to reverse and underside.

Condition

Good. A few paint losses to the ground and left ear.

Slight rubbing to gilt.

KILN EFFECTS: firing hole to the front of the base;

over glazed shrinkage line to the dog's back.

RESTORATION. Retouched paint losses to muzzle, ears, tail and markings.
