Staffordshire musicians figure group
Victorian, circa 1860. 7.1ins high, 4.8ins wide, 3.7ins depth.
Staffordshire group with a musical theme which features a seated lady playing a lute with a gentleman next to her, stood on a shaped scroll work base.
Multi-coloured with underglaze blue version. Dull gilt embellishment.
Flatback, decorated mainly to the front.
Vent hole to the underside.
Book reference not found.
Condition
Generally good. A few paint losses to her lute, top,
apron, their hair and his boots.
Some rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECT: kiln grit caught in the glaze to the reverse.
RESTORATION: Filled chip to top of lute.
