Staffordshire praying lady figure

Victorian, circa 1860. 10ins high, 5.9ins wide, 3.9ins depth. Staffordshire figure with a religious theme which features a scantily clad women praying, knelt on a rectangular base.







Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse. Vent hole to the reverse.

Condition

Generally good. Small flakes to her left shoulder, hands, robe and base.













KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing;



shrinkage crack to her right wrist.



RESTORATION: Reglued around the waist and join retouched.









Retouched paint losses to her hair.
