Pair Staffordshire spaniel head sash window stops
Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 4.3ins high, 4.5ins wide, 4.9ins depth.
Pair of Staffordshire sash window stops which feature a spaniel's head, resting directly on the ground, no base.
Russet and white version.
Flatback, decorated only to the front.
Vent hole to the underside.

Condition
Left: Generally good. Small flake to reverse.
Some rubbing to lustre.
RESTORATION. Retouched flakes to face, collar, locket, markings and reverse.
Right: Fair. A few small flakes to reverse.
Some rubbing to lustre.
KILN EFFECTS: small piece of kiln grit caught in the glaze to the face;
shrinkage line to the right side of rest.
RESTORATION: underside of base with section rebuilt.
Stabilised and retouched hairlines to base.
Filled chip to rim of rest.
Retouched flakes and paint losses to face, markings, collar and locket.
