Staffordshire Prattware-type Yorkshire cow & calf creamer
pre-Victorian, circa 1820. 4.7ins high, 5.1ins wide, 2.2ins depth. Staffordshire Yorkshire cow creamer with a pastoral theme which features a calf underneath a cow, stood on a rectangular base.
Painted base line.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Vent hole to the underside.
Condition
CONDITION: Good. Hairline to front left hoof.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln soot caught in the glaze to the horn;
glaze miss to the tail;
touch mark under tail.
RESTORATION: retouched flake to base side;
remodelled stopper.
