Pair Staffordshire Dalmatians on cobalt blue bases
Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 6.3ins high, 4.4ins wide, 2.8ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire figures which feature a Dalmatian, seated on a cobalt blue base.
Dull gilt base line and embellishment. Decorated mainly to the front. Vent hole to underside of one.

Condition
CONDITION: Right facing: Good. No restoration. Three small chips to base (two on reverse).
Couple of small chips to underside.
A few paint losses to the black spots.
KILN EFFECTS: stray cobalt glaze to the dog;
kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the base, mainly to the underside;
thin glaze application to dog's head.
Left facing: Good. No restoration. Some paint losses to the black spots.
KILN EFFECTS: two touch marks to the base, one to reverse with associated chip;
over glazed shrinkage line between dog's back legs.
