Victorian, circa 1870. Tallest is 12.4ins high, 9.8ins wide, 3.9ins depth.
Pair of Staffordshire figures which feature a spaniel with a curly tail, seated directly on the ground, no base.
Copper lustre version.
Flatback, decorated mainly to the front.
Vent hole to the underside.
Condition
Right facing: Good. No restoration.
A few paint losses to muzzle, eye, eyebrow and paws.
KILN EFFECTS: copper lustre has oxidized and turned green in places.
Left facing: Good. No restoration.
Flake between the front paws.
KILN EFFECTS: copper lustre has oxidized and turned green in places;
flecks of stray coloured glaze to the reverse;
craze line to the reverse.
