Staffordshire Prattware shepherdess & sheep

pre-Victorian, circa 1800. 6.7ins high, 6ins wide, 3.5ins depth. Staffordshire Prattware figure with a pastoral theme which features a shepherdess
with a ram and lambs, recumbent on a rectangular base.



Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.







Vent hole to the underside.

CONDITION: Generally good.

Flake to base



and small flakes to ram's head and body.





KILN EFFECTS: over glazed bruise to her chest and one lamb.





RESTORATION. Right horn reglued and joins retouched.





Stabilised and retouched hairline to along the mold join up the ram's chest



and along it's back
