Pair Staffordshire No.3 black and white spaniels
Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 9ins high, 6.1ins wide, 3.5ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire figures which feature a spaniel,
seated directly on the ground, no base.
Black and white version. Dull gilt embellishment.
Decorated mainly to the front. Vent hole to the reverse.
Maker's marks no.3 molded into the underside.

Condition
CONDITION: Right facing: Generally good.
Tight hairline right front paw.
Some rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to the reverse
and front legs;
shrinkage crack to the underside of base.
RESTORATION. Filled chip to right front paw.
Left facing: Good.
Tight hairline to underside of base.
Some rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to the reverse;
a couple of areas of stained to crazing to the reverse.
RESTORATION. Filled chip to left front paw.
