pre-Victorian, circa 1800. 13.8ins high, 6.5ins wide, 5.1ins depth. Staffordshire pearlware figure with a mythological theme which features Apollo playing the lyre, stood on a plinth base.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Vent holes to the underside.
This piece represents the Greek God of music.

CONDITION: Generally good.
KILN EFFECTS: tiny glaze pops to his headscarf;
a piece of kiln grit caught in the glaze to hem of gown;
flecks of stray coloured glaze to his neck and back.
RESTORATION: Stabilised and retouched hairline running down left arm and gown (still slightly visible)
