pre-Victorian, circa 1820. 4.5ins high, 3.9ins wide, 2.4ins depth. Staffordshire pearlware bocage figure which features a stag, recumbent on a shaped hollow base.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

CONDITION: Good.
Small chips to both small horns at front of stag's head and one leaf to bocage (all have been glazed over during manufacture).
Small flake to front lower base edge.
KILN EFFECTS: touch mark just below stag's left eye.
RESTORATION: Tip of right horn reglued and join retouched.
Retouched flakes to base rim and one to reverse of bocage.
