Staffordshire boy with Settter figure group
Victorian, circa 1860. 9.1ins high, 6.7ins wide, 2ins depth. Staffordshire figure with a hunting theme which features a boy
with a setter dog, stood on an oval base.
Multi-coloured with underglaze blue version.
Dull gilt base line and embellishment.
Flatback, decorated mainly to the front.
Vent hole to the underside.

Condition
CONDITION: Good.
Slight rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage cracks and lines to the front;
firing hole to base by dog's right paw;
touch marks to the reverse and the top of the dog's head;
thin glaze application to the cobalt glaze.
RESTORATION. Retouched paint losses to dog's markings
and boy's hair
and shoes.
