Large Staffordshire cottage pastile burner
Victorian, circa 1860. 11.1ins high, 6ins wide, 3.7ins depth. Staffordshire pastille burner which features a two storey cottage with single chimney, stood on a shaped base. Dull gilt embellishment.
Flatback, decorated only to the front. Opening to the reverse.

Condition
Good. Small chips to the shredded clay to the roof.
Some flakes to the shredded clay.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage cracks inside the front door and to underside of roof edge;
missing segments to the shredded clay decoration;
glaze bubble to ground.
RESTORATION: retouched paint losses to the ground, wall plants and roof.
