Staffordshire 'The Soldiers Farewell' titled figure
Victorian, circa 1860. 13.6ins high, 7.5ins wide, 3.7ins depth. Staffordshire group with a military theme which features a soldier with his girl, stood on a shaped base.
The piece is titled, 'THE SOLDIER'S FAREWELL' .
Dull gilt title and embellishment. Decorated mainly to the front. Vent hole to the reverse.

Condition
CONDITION: Generally good. Chips to the edge of his skirt and to base edge at the reverse.
Small flake to her nose.
Some rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln soot caught in the glaze;
three small firing holes to his right leg and one to her skirt;
shrinkage line to the reverse.
RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched crack to the base edge at the reverse.
