Staffordshire 'Madonna' figure

Victorian, circa 1860. 11ins high, 4.1ins wide, 4.2ins depth. Staffordshire figure with a religious theme which features Mary,
the Madonna, stood on a round base.



White and gilt version.



Dull gilt base line and embellishment.
Flatback, decorated only to the front.







Vent hole to the underside.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. No restoration.

One paint flake to her hair.



Slight rubbing to gilt.



KILN EFFECTS: couple of small touch marks to her side;





small firing pit to the reverse;



craze lines;



over glazed chip to the base;



shrinkage crack along the mold join to her left side.
